Through the lens of a camera, Martha Hoelzer conveys her view of the world using light and angles to capture the essence of a moment in time. As she grew up in Huntsville, Alabama she often listened to tales of her grandparents’ cultural experiences growing up abroad. These tales combined with her own curiosity and love of the outdoors influenced her to explore everything from her own backyard to traveling overseas to destinations such as the Olympics in Beijing, China. In sharing these experiences, she hopes to provide a glimpse of how she views a breath of fresh air while striving to create her own series of stories.
